We have powerplants at four sites in the Netherlands: The Hague, Leiden, Maasvlakte, and Rotterdam. For more than 10 years, we have been working closely together with the surrounding industry in Rotterdam to exchange residual materials to reduce our carbon footprint.
At the Maasvlakte, we do this on an industrial scale and we provide various services to industrial customers. In addition, we have city power stations in Rotterdam, The Hague and Leiden that focus on the reliable supply of energy in the built environment.
To help the phase-in of clean energy, we also aim to supply a range of innovative energy products to our partners and customers throughout the Zuid-Holland region.
At Uniper in the Netherlands, approximately 300 dedicated employees work every day to secure a reliable and sustainable energy supply.

Uniper’s core businesses are power generation in Europe, global energy trading, and a broad gas portfolio.
Uniper plans for its roughly 22.5 GW of installed power-generating capacity in Europe to be carbon-neutral by 2035. The company already ranks among Europe’s largest operators of hydroelectric plants and intends to further expand solar and wind energy, which are essential for a more sustainable and autonomous future.
