Uniper Corporate Communication and Governmental Relations under new management

Summary
  • Fabienne Twelemann succeeds Luis Ramos as Executive Vice President Corporate Communication & Governmental Relations
  • Company spokesman Leif Erichsen leaves Uniper at his own request

Uniper SE's Board of Management has appointed Fabienne Twelemann (41) as the new Head of Corporate Communication & Governmental Relations with immediate effect. Twelemann reports to Uniper CEO Prof. Dr. Klaus-Dieter Maubach. Her responsibilities include corporate and marketing communication, brand and channel management, employee and executive communication, political and external relations, and event management.

Fabienne Twelemann has been with the company for more than 15 years, was part of the “One2two” spin-off project leadership team that founded Uniper, and from day one played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s Corporate Communication & Governmental Relations function. During the past 18 months, she drove the development of decarbonizing energy solutions for B2B customers. Twelemann succeeds Luis Ramos, who has left the company.

Prof. Dr. Klaus-Dieter Maubach said: “I’d like to thank Luis Ramos for his great contribution in the past 18 months. Under his leadership, the public image and brand profile of Uniper improved noticeably, differentiating the company in the market and exciting employees. I’m very pleased that as his successor we’ve been able to appoint Fabienne Twelemann, someone highly respected inside and outside the company, and whose many years of experience in the organization will enable her to strike a new tone with employees, the media, and policymakers.”

In addition, there will be a change in the role of company spokesman. Leif Erichsen has decided to take on new professional challenges outside Uniper.

Uniper's new communications director Fabienne Twelemann says: “I regret that Leif Erichsen will be leaving Uniper. Always empathetic and convincing, Leif has played a major role in shaping Uniper's public image with his efforts over the past few years. I am therefore pleased that he will still be available to us at full strength in the coming months for the reorganization of communications activities. I wish Leif Erichsen all the very best for his future career and private life!”
