Testing processes for new/overhauled steam turbines

This presentation identifies potential issues, trip and protection testing checks and potential issues, whilst also covering the differences between new-build and post overhaul. It focuses on auxiliary systems, and two critical activities undertaken during the commissioning process which are lubrication oil system flushing and lubrication oil pump changeover tests. Further issues such as main steam valve commissioning are covered, giving the full scope of a turbine test, and showing some of the consequences that can occur when processes are not properly followed.
