Building new gas-fired plants
We have provided owner’s engineering, project management and cutting–edge consultancy services for new combined heat and power plants and combined cycle gas turbines up to 1,248 MW capacity in a range of countries including Germany, UK, Spain, Slovakia and Hungary. These included a state-of-the-art CCGT single-shaft asset achieving 60.4% efficiency. While our clients focused on their core business, we used proven skills and experience to take care of the projects.
First of its kind LNG import facility
Our client selected us to deliver and commission a turret-moored Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) to import LNG, installed offshore in the Mediterranean. The project included conversion of an LNG carrier into a floating regasification terminal. The unit has a regasification capacity of 3.75 billion cubic meters per year and a storage capacity of 137,500m³ of LNG. Our experts were part of the project management and owner’s engineering team and responsible for steering and supervising the EPCIC contractor during construction and commissioning over a period of several years. The LNG FSRU is now being successfully operated and has received and regasified numerous LNG cargoes.
Building new coal plants
We have provided turnkey services for new 1,100 MW hard coal-fired plants across Europe and an 800 MW lignite-fired plant in Russia. All were designed with supercritical steam parameters to achieve state-of-the-art, high plant efficiency values. The client focused on their core business while we used proven skills and experience to take care of project governance, project management, engineering, procurement, and site and commissioning management.
Managing delivery of new waste to energy plants
Our client chose us to take care of the development of several new waste to energy sites in Germany with a combined capacity of 800,000 t/a. We managed the engineering, QA/QC construction, site and commissioning supervision, and claim management to ensure our client’s projects were delivered on time and in budget.
Reduced complexity for new 380 kV grid connection
Our client required a new 380 kV grid connection for their German power plant, consisting of a 480 MVA machine transformer, the transformer foundation, and a 400 kV overhead line connected to grid switchgear. We provided a comprehensive package of services including conceptual and detail planning, project management, specification and tender, demolition and disposal of existing structures, and supervision of construction. By partnering with us, our client benefited from all aspects of the project being managed from a single source, reducing complexity and cost.
