Why a power label?

The power label shows which energy sources are used to generate the electricity we supply, including their relative share in the total fuel mix. All energy suppliers are required to publish this label, ensuring transparency and enabling comparison between providers.

The share of renewable energy is substantiated by Guarantees of Origin certificates issued via VertiCer, the organisation responsible for certifying sustainable electricity. The Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) supervises the accuracy and completeness of the power label.

Energy suppliers publish this label retrospectively. The final energy mix can only be determined once all data from the previous year has been completed and validated. This ensures a reliable and transparent overview of the actual energy sources used.
