As a Graduate in the Trainee Program, you have the opportunity to get to know different divisions and to gain valuable experience. The 18- / 24-month program based in Germany, with a combination of pre-defined and flexible stations, also gives you the opportunity to gain international experience and work in various business units. The program offers an in-depth insight into our business and enables you to explore and develop your competencies. Asset Management & Operations
The Asset Management department provides the operational frameworks, processes, systems and tools required to manage the entire asset portfolio and is responsible for the development and execution of the asset strategy across all countries and technologies. We manage the associated risks by aligning business and operational needs to take advantage of significant opportunities for sustainable economic success.
Asset Operations - Focus on Hydropower (Landshut)
Our function is to lead all asset operations related activities for Uniper across coal, gas, hydropower and storage technologies on a worldwide basis in order to deliver the best commercial value for Uniper's assets. We manage associated risks, balancing commercial and operational needs in order to seize significant opportunities for a sustainable business success.
Digital/ IT Track
Uniper’s IT department represents a team of international, multidisciplinary professionals who creates a very unique work culture which is diverse, inclusive and friendly. Thanks to our modern infrastructure, our portfolio of work includes, enabling seamless remote work, managing best-in-class data platforms, running fully cloudified applications while designing and delivering innovative software solutions for our business.
Uniper Renewables are a central pillar of Unipers growth and decarbonization strategy. Focusing on Solar and Onshore Wind in European markets, Uniper Renewables pursue ambitious targets to develop, engineer, construct, operate & optimize and commercialize renewables projects and assets. All core activities required for this business model are embedded in Uniper Renewables, whilst any supporting activities are provided by Unipers corporate functions.
Sales & Innovation - Net Zero Solutions
Uniper's Sales business with large and valuable wholesale customers like Stadtwerke and industrial customers offers through dedicated Key Account Managers tailor made solutions for supply of commodities and various other products. It is growing in the field of energy related services and makes systematic use of all competencies in Uniper to be able to offer integrated solutions.
Trading & Commercial Track
Uniper's commercial area encompasses gas upstream, supply and optimization as well as power marketing and global energy trading activities. The organization's objective is to create value by developing and monetizing our portfolio through having superior insight into our assets, markets, customers and business partners. As part of your first placement, you will be part of the Power Trading Team, which is responsible for proprietary and flow trading of European Power and cross-commodity (fuels) at Uniper.
Your journey as a trainee at Uniper - We are looking for you to start in April 2023!
The first step is your online application. Here you can upload all relevant information about yourself, your CV and your references.
After your CV has been evaluated by us, you will be invited to an online assessment for which you will need approx. 30 min.
In a third step, applicants who have mastered the first two rounds are invited to a cultural-fit check which consists of a video interview (asynchronous).
After a successful cultural-fit check, you will be invited to our “Virtual Career Day”. Here, you will have extensive, personal discussions with future managers.
At the end of the “VC Day", it will be decided who will receive a contract offer. You will receive individual feedback within the next 1-3 days after the VCD.
You start your Traineeship with an Onboarding Week during which we introduce you to Uniper and provide you with all the information you need for an optimal start.
