Our energy production, commodity trading, and services — all are becoming steadily cleaner. Our ambitious decarbonization strategy will face challenges. For instance, we’ll need to develop and deploy low-carbon technologies fast enough for our generation business in Europe to be carbon-neutral by 2035.

Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an urgent call to action to all countries. For people, they seek to end poverty, improve health and education, and reduce inequality. For the planet, they seek to tackle climate change and preserve oceans and forests. We recognize the importance of all 17 SDGs and fully support them. We’ve prioritized 10 SDGs that are particularly relevant to our business activities, strategy, and material issues.
