Warnings on Misinformation and Fraud

Warnings on Misinformation and Fraud

On this page, Uniper publishes important notices regarding false or misleading information as well as fraudulent activities involving the misuse of Uniper’s name.

These warnings are intended to help suppliers, partners, and the public identify potential risks, protect themselves against fraud, and verify legitimate communications from Uniper.

No known active cases at the moment

At present, Uniper is not aware of any ongoing incidents involving misinformation or fraudulent activities that misuse its name. However, this does not eliminate the risk entirely. Fraud schemes and misleading communications can emerge quickly and without warning, often targeting suppliers, partners, or members of the public.

By maintaining this section, Uniper ensures that stakeholders have access to guidance and updates should new risks arise.

Uniper Procurement is warning suppliers about fake purchase orders via e-mail addresses imitating those of Uniper (e.g. @uniper-de.energy). The criminals even try to negotiate via phone, so please be very cautious.

Please only accept purchase orders via the established ordering channels (if you are already a Uniper supplier). Regarding written communication, please make sure that our mails have been sent from and you reply only to e-mail addresses with the domain @uniper.energy.

If you are in doubt whether the communication or orders you have received are legit, please contact us via mail to [email protected].

A news is currently circulating on social media stating that our CFO Dr. Jutta Dönges is allegedly married to Dr. Patrick Graichen, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. We hereby clarify that this information is false.

If have any further questions please contact Oliver Roeder via email [email protected].
