Our North American activities focus on the midstream energy trading and supply market, with operations that enhance the flow of energy from power generators to downstream end users.
We provide physical and financial electricity, natural gas, energy storage services and an array of environmental products that make fuel and power markets more climate friendly. These include access to carbon-offset markets, green gas, equitable-origin gas, and renewable natural gas attributes, products and services. We also source US natural gas for liquefaction and export to LNG markets around the world.

Uniper provides energy the world needs today while taking steady steps toward a sustainable future. The company is committed to expanding its international renewables generation capacity and its pioneering position in low-carbon gases, including hydrogen. We're actively exploring North American partnerships and development opportunities in these sectors.
We also manage a growing portfolio of energy supply agreements with North American power generators that has the capacity to provide downstream customers with more than 19 million MWh of low- and carbon-free energy sourced from domestic wind and solar power facilities. We're aiming to quadruple that capacity by 2025.

Uniper participates in major power markets across North America, including ISO-NE (New England), NYISO (New York), PJM (Mid-Atlantic), MISO (Mid-West), SPP (Plains), ERCOT (Texas), CAISO (California) and the WECC (West). We’re active on more than 40 pipelines across the US and Canada and have natural gas storage leases in excess of 30 billion cubic feet.
