Powering Hungary’s Future: Uniper’s Dunaföldvár Solar Park
Uniper is strengthening its renewable portfolio with the construction of a 61 MWp photovoltaic project in Dunaföldvár, Hungary.
This project reinforces Uniper’s commitment to driving the energy transition across Europe, with a focus on Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Sweden, Hungary, and Poland.
Scheduled for grid connection in 2026, the Dunaföldvár project adds to Uniper’s growing solar pipeline, which includes developments in Tét (Hungary) as well as new solar parks in Germany and the UK.
The 17 megawatt peak (MWp) solar park on the landfill site of the former Wilhelmshaven coal-fired power station will generate 17,000 MWh of renewable electricity per year - enough for up to 4,500 households.
Uniper's first in the UK.
