Safety culture

Our initiatives with safety culture are aimed at maintaining, strengthening and communicating the importance of safety, and thinking proactively about safety. At Barsebäcksverket, the collective approach of employees to safety and risks are an essential aspect of day-to-day work. Consequently, safety is integrated into all activities. There is a clear division of responsibilities and leadership for safety matters and safety work is driven by continuous learning.

How we process your personal data

We need to process your personal data in conjunction with your employment, your participation in Barsebäck Kraft AB’s operations or your visit with us. Barsebäck Kraft (in the capacity of personal data controller) is responsible for the processing of the personal data we obtain from/about you.

What types of personal data do we collect and why?

The personal data concerned may include, for example, your personal identity number, name, signature, contact information, information about passed medical examinations and photographs.

The purpose for processing your personal data is to conduct our operations legally and appropriately, as well as process your access permissions, identity, registration of working hours, dosimetry and access controls for IT systems.

Your photograph will be used in conjunction with your access.

Due to video surveillance, you may be included in video recordings.

If you are participating in meetings, working with our documents or conducting work that requires task-related notifications, your personal data may appear in texts and in conjunction with the quality assurance of our documents.

In some cases, your personal data may be handled when you access a room, clothes locker, tools, computers, work clothes and so forth.

What is our legal basis for processing your personal data?

The legal basis for our processing of your personal data is our shared agreement. In many cases, we process personal data to fulfill our legal obligations and, in some cases, our basis is legitimate interest.

Who can receive/process your personal data?

Your personal data is primarily processed by Barsebäck Kraft and other companies within the Uniper Group. In some cases, BKAB transfers your personal data – along with information about medical examinations for radiological work and the dose that you received at our facilities – to a centralized dose register (CDIS) administered by Ringhals AB.

How long do we retain your personal data?

Authorizations and similar data are generally deleted one month after we terminate a contractual relationship. Depending on the nature of the processing and our legal obligations, history and logs are saved for traceability for at least 12 months, and in some cases for the lifetime of the facility.

Your rights

You are entitled to request information about your personal data, and to correct or delete it. You can also request that our processing of your personal data be restricted. You are also entitled to object to our processing of your personal data.
